Horses:

It takes a very special horse to be selected to participate in our Therapeutic Riding Program.

The horses used in the Therapeutic Riding Program have each gone through specialized training in order to prepare them for the special tasks of the program.

The horses used in our current program are shown below.

Millbrook Marcy.  "Marcy" is a chestnut Morgan mare who stands 14.1 hands high.  (A hand is equal to 4") 

"Quill" is 15.2 hand chestnut Trakehener / Thoroughbred cross gelding who was born and raised at UNH.

"Buddy" is a 14.2 hand bay Morgan gelding who was raised at UNH.

"Flash" is a 14.3 hand Welsh gelding.

"Paige" is a 15.1 h Morgan mare.

"Abba" is a 13.3 H Haflinger Gelding.

"Guinness" is a 15.2h Quarter Horse/Morgan/Draft cross bay gelding.

"Betty" is a 14.2 H Morgan mare used in our grooming program.

"Fawn" is a 14.2h Dun Haflinger cross currently in training for our program.
